Emily is an acrylic painter who’s works explore the social and emotional surrounding the consumption of ordinary objects in the form of tablescapes or everyday scenes.
As a Taiwanese American, her sense of identity permeates in her works, reflected by the material culture around her. These days she draws a lot of her inspiration from social isolation from maternity leave, the material culture of Malmö, and social-political anxiety of being an immigrant in Sweden.
She received her MA in Visual Culture from Lund University and currently resides in Malmö.
Heroriginal works can be found globally in private collections in Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, Kuwait, North America, and Europe.
